First Day in the Burn!!!
I picked up a shiny new Burn and immediately had one thing on my mind: get into some goods!
I was in Northern Oregon and with the great weather and spring melt, the obvious choice was to get on the Oregon Salmon while it was in its small window of fun flows. The water turned out to be a little low, but it was still a great day!
The Salmon River flows off the south-west face of Mount Hood and has gotten quite a bit of attention in the last few years. This year we went in with a couple reporters from the Associated Press and got a great story and a video from the day to add to the buzz about the run.
Here are some more photos….

I decided to fire up the big one at the end. It went quite well and was a great cap to the day.
Tossing my paddle at the bottom trying to keep it from meeting my face.

That’s all for now, so make sure to check the article and I’ll have a little more video soon.
