Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championship 2007, Austria
Adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championship 2007, Öetz, Tirol, Austria
As you all know the Adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championshipwas celebrated from the 3rd to the 6th of october in Öetz, Tirol, Austria.
The Öetz is such a cool river, with lots of sections to run… The prelims should be done on a 300m run on the middle oetz, and the finals on the Wellerbrucke section, a really cool 200m run, steep and with lots of fun. There’s a trail to walk back up to the put-in next to the river…
The event was really well organized, however they weren’t lucky with the waterlevels, so the competition was definitively cancelled on sunday after postponed it on friday and saturday.
Wellerbrucke section.
Lots of paddlers (171) came to the event, representing 25 countries. Guys from Pyranha came from the US (Jared, Dave and Graham), UK (Rich, James, Tom…), Switzerland (Toro)… it was really good to see everybody there!!
