How many years have you been paddling?

How did you start paddling?

My Dad first got me into the idea of kayaking when I was little and first tried it through the SSCA [Somerset Scout Canoe Association]. However I didn’t really get into it until 1994, when I was kindly hooked out of many South West rivers by Jon and Fred Forsyth. One of the more memorable incidents was spending £100 on an Aquatex Nookie Extreme Cag and being grounded for a month for spending so much money on something I’d never use! I then left the South West and joined Derby University canoe club. It was here where I found my love of squirt boating.

All over the UK, France, Itlay, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Norway, Australia, Canada

What meal do you cook the best?

I make a mean Spaghetti Bolognaise.

A lot! Mostly Indie and alot of Prodigy and Chemical Brothers.

What other sports do you do?

I have a particular fetish in my full suss Specialized Super Cross mountain bike at the minute. I guess old habits die hard, I used to race cross country back in the day when anodized purple was cool! Now it’s nothing quite so serious more sociable on the up hills, balls out on the downs with as much air time in between as possible.
